📘 SIMPLE PAST TENSE

✅ 1. Pengertian

Simple Past Tense adalah bentuk waktu yang digunakan untuk menyatakan:

• kejadian yang sudah terjadi di masa lampau, dan
• sudah selesai.

Contoh:
I went to Bali last year.
(Saya pergi ke Bali tahun lalu.)

 

✅ 2. Rumus Simple Past Tense

🟦 A. Kalimat Positif (Affirmative)

S + V2 + O

Contoh:

• She watched a movie.
• They played football yesterday.

🟦 B. Kalimat Negatif

S + did not + V1 + O

Contoh:

• She did not watch a movie.
• They did not play football.

🟦 C. Kalimat Tanya (Interrogative)

Did + S + V1 + O?

Contoh:

• Did she watch a movie?
• Did they play football?

 

✅ 3. Penggunaan Kata Kerja (Verb)

• Gunakan Verb 2 (past form) pada kalimat positif.
• Gunakan Verb 1 setelah "did/did not" pada kalimat negatif dan tanya.

Contoh:

📌 Catatan: Kata kerja beraturan (regular verbs) biasanya ditambah -ed, sedangkan tak beraturan (irregular verbs) bentuknya berubah.

 

✅ 4. Keterangan Waktu (Time Expressions)

a moment ago	beberapa saat lalu

 

✅ 5. Contoh Kalimat Simple Past Tense

Kalimat Positif:

• I visited my grandmother last Sunday.
• He went to school by bike yesterday.

Kalimat Negatif:

• I did not visit my grandmother last Sunday.
• He did not go to school by bike yesterday.

Kalimat Tanya:

• Did you visit your grandmother?
• Did he go to school yesterday?

 

✅ 6. Soal Latihan (Contoh)

A. Ubah kalimat berikut ke bentuk negatif dan tanya:

1. She cooked dinner last night.
2. They studied English yesterday.

B. Lengkapi kalimat dengan bentuk kata kerja yang tepat:

1. I ______ (go) to the zoo last week.
2. We ______ (not watch) the movie.
3. ______ you ______ (see) the accident?
